Mike and Wolfplace I just want to know what made you choose Audie flowbench over the Superflow? Is there any advantages or more features. Those Mondello wet flow benches look really nice and you can physically see the flow characteristics with a dye and uv light. Sounds pretty trick. Id be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks

Thanks = Hi There oh nameless one ;D I have a Flowdata bench with Audie's data acquisition. Audie does not make a flow bench except for the "FlowQuik" unit, just software & hardware for the acquisition along with really great cam measurement stuff. It can be made to fit almost any bench. I really like the Flowdata bench as it has only one range & in my case only one lever, intake & exhaust. Everything else is done by the computer including opening the valve & if you order it with Audie's stuff it is all built in. I have "qualified" it to both Brodix's & AFR's benches along with a couple of friends SuperFlow 600's to get the numbers very close to the "industry standard" In my case the exhaust is very close & the intake is 6% low so I just tell the software to add 6% on the intake side. This is a problem with the FlowData as it uses a laminar element & the numbers are dependent on the element in each particular bench so they can vary from one to another sometimes. After a number of different heads I know it is very close to an honest SF600 test. I don't really care what the numbers are, I care mostly about repeatability but customers get all excited it the numbers are low. The Mondello unit is very trick. He has both a stand alone unit & one that can be added to your bench. I played with the one they had set up at PRI as well as at Superflows place for the AETC deal. It is pretty amazing what you will see going on in the "cylinder" with just a change in seat angles, lead in angles or even just changing from a "dished" type valve to a flat face one If you are interested in real information on wet flow Darin & Joe are hosting a seminar at the AERA show in Las Vegas the end of this month. I am going just because of this seminar.

Audie does make a bench. It's similar to a 600 Super Flow. I went with Audie for the cost initially. I planned to step up to a Superflow 1020 down the road, but the Audie was always so consistent and accurate. I never saw the need to change.

I have talked to him a bunch & he never mentioned making a bench, just the plans for his "Flowquick" deal for installing it in a box. He has a list of all the people he sends his customers to for benches including SuperFlow, FlowData, Joe & Jamison but I didn't know he actually made a bench,, at least in the last 5 years or so??

This one is a little older. Probably 8 years or so. Looks like a 600. Works real well. It's even blue.
