'69 Nova all steel 3280 lbs. 489" BBC w/glide 5500 converter. N/A Ken Jones 1150 14:1 J&E Howards rods Lunati crank Howards cam 742 731 276 286 roller Pro topline heads 2.25 1.88 valves with 2 1/8 primary x 3 1/2 collector 14 x 32 Goodyears with 102" rollout 4.88 dana 60 ladder bar back half. Leaving off the transbrake at 5000 shifting at 7600 going through the traps at about 6200. So far will only run about 6.15 at 112 in the 1/8. whats your thoughts on running a steeper gear. Maybe a 5.57 and leave around 4600-4800. Just some feedback. Looking for the 5's. Thanks.

With the cam you have you might be happier with 5.38s if you run 1/8 mile strips only, 5.57s might be too low. It sounds like it running pretty good as is and the motor should live a long time with what you've got.
