Ok I need some help on a new project. We are putting together a basic 600HP 468 with ported ovals and stuffing it into a 2500-3000 lb S-10 for brackets. I will be doing the headers myself and need advise on primary tube diameter and length. As well as collector size thanks for any help.

A basic header design should work fine. 2" or 2 1/8" primary about 36" long. Go into a 3 1/2" collector.

What about step tubes, how should it be spaced from the head? Since I am doing these myself I want to do the best job I can even if the gains are small. Sorry for all the questions I am new to this. Thanks

You can step from 2" to 2 1/8". Make the 2" pipe 8 to 10" long then step it up.
