Mike you might want to put some floor pans and doors on that car its going to get really drafty ;D. What are you planning on using for power ? What turbos ? Engine Management ? Im just full of questions.

Small Chevy with a 4.125" x 3.75" stroke, Dart block, Callies crank, Howards billet rods, SB2.2 heads flowing 400, fat roller stick from Cam Motion. I'll be using a 106mm turbo and I'll be doing a blow thru carb deal. Carb is coming from CSU. Should make 1800+. The car will weigh between 3150 and 3400 depending on what class I'm running. With a powerglide and 9" rear. Should go mid to high 7's on 10" slicks or Drag Radials.

Mike,
The new car is lookin' good. Sounds like it will be a real strong combo. Keep us posted on how it is progressing.

First of all, you have to ignore Russell. He just acts like he knows what he's doin What's up Russell, Dusty here, I need to call you sometime!! This question is for Mike concerning those Howard's Billet Rods. I have considered them for my turbo SBC but can't find anyone with experience using them. I have spoke with Howard's several times and they seem great for the $$ but I wonder how they compare to an Oliver or other well known great quality rod. I plan to make as close to 1500 as I can and want to make sure I have a good rod. Any experience or advice on the rods you'd like to share?

The rods work great. They are lighter than the Olivers and very right for the money. I'm using them in my turbo deal (have been using them in my nitrous motors) Also putting them in Scott Kern's 505 turbo big block. They will handle a ton of power. I like the Olivers too, but the Howards have served me well.
