block - 3999289 .060 -454(4 bolt) pistons -7011P forged(12:1 cpmp with 106 cc heads) crank - 6223 forged 427 heads oval - 336781
The shortblock used to have the closed chamber rectangular ports.I wonder if its possible to bolt on the open chamber ovals (premium gas) without having to grind the pistons.

I guess the open ovals should fit as long as the dome matches the chambers..maybe

You might have to "roll" the edges of the domes a bit but as I recall it ain't much Just set the head on without a gasket & if it clears you are good to go with a .039 type gasket,,
