I was wondering , when you read a dyno sheet how close should the exhuast temps. be ? Also what does the correction factor mean and what determines the value that you use ? thanks, john lowe

EX gas temps can vary 200 degrees or more. You want them as close as you can get them, but some variance is fine. The correction factor simply corrects the computer to give theoretical performance under perfect conditions. Things like altitude, temp, humidity, pressure, etc.

Typically 50* is what we like to see. If it's a carb'd deal, we might attempt to stagger the jetting to see where things go. On the EFI stuff, we work each cylinder until they straighten out.
