I have a 83 cutlass that is a drag car. My steering needs upgraded from the factory power steering to something else manual. I am thinking of putting in a pinto rack but am not sure if its possible. I have average fabrication skills but don't want to end up with a hacked up car that won't steer. Does anyone have any suggestions on this project or ever seen or done it? I've called a few chassis shops and all they say is they've never done it. Thanks for your help.

Brady, I've done several conversions to G-Body's..not a big deal. Problem is that without a custom length R&P you will either have to limit front end travel or live with bump steer issues. Most cars are good with limiting the front end travel..but if you're on a really small tire and or low HP deal..it might not work for you. You can get a custom length R&P from Chassisworks..$$$$$ Rick Robinson www.motorsportsengineering.net317 627-RACE
