I want to use abunch of my spare parts for a aggressive street engine to play around with the parts I have are 18* heads w/250cc intake runners and intake manifold 2 inch headers roller components NOS fogger and or plate a 950 HP. I'am not sure what shortblock to use and to use a dish piston or flat top using a 350 block as they are easier to come by and hold up better, should I go 350 383 391 396. The 383 and 391 would be cheaper and easier to get pistons for but the 396 has me interested any thoughts?

It would not be worth the extra cost to go 396. Just to get 13ci over a 383 is not worth it. Might as well build a 400 based stroker 415,427,434,454. That would be worth the effort. If you cant come up with a 400 block build a 383.
