Hi, I have 1 5/8 longtube headers now I wondered if i really need to move to 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 for significantly more power or will i just lose torque. Heads are Proaction 200cc, dual plane rpm airgap, 850cfm mighty demon, 3500 stall, on 3200 lb corvette

It would be worth upgrading to 1 3/4" as cheap as they are. Measure your exhaust port. I bet they are around 1 3/4" I wouldn't put anything smaller than 1 3/4" on a 383.

Depends on what your max rpm is. With a hyd roller it most likley won't go over 6500, I would run a 1 3/4" nothing larger or you will lose mid range and low end. Bill
