Hi all, First I'd like to ask you guys that do this for a living what your h.p. opinions are of my garage built engine, specs listed below. I'm just an amatuer engine builder but still enjoy putting together pieces of machined metal that actually end up coming to life in the end, Dr Frankenstein influenced me I guess. Just about every part installed needs some tweaking of some kind to be right but aside from checking, rechecking, fitting and measuring whats the secret to taking it to the next level? I dont have the means to actually machine parts but I'm interested in what it takes to go from an assembler/fitter to a professional engine builder. You guys have my utmost respect, it takes time and patience just to put an engine together properly. Usually things end up not ready to assemble and take fitting, even installing the intake manifold can be a chore when the heads were milled, block was decked etc etc. Thanks in advance! Hi Glenn, I'm no engine builder but just saw your post and thought i'd say hi. My son finally put the 598" in his Chevelle with the AFR heads and it runs real good. I'm interested to know how well the cam works in your new piece as my boy put the nitrous cam that Steve Schmidt sent with the short block. My new "e" mail address is hsutton1@netzero.net. Good luck with your new project.

Hi Harold, Hows that killa chevelle runnin? Got wheelie bars on it yet? Were looking for some headers for a 68 chevelle, 2 1/4 tubes would do nicely. I'll e-mail ya.
