MIKE, what kind of flow numbers can I get from a set of Holley 20 degree 185cc heads ported to the max . Is it worth the xepense, or should I get another set of better heads? Thanks for your help.

Depending on how big I can make them they should get up to about 300 cfm or so. They will need to be up around 205 cc or so. Should make good power. There are other sets of heads out there, but they won't touch 300 without some work.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked is that I have a line on some AFR227 heasd . These heads will be going on a 10.4 to 1 383 it will be sprayed up to about 350 hp max. Would these heads be too much or should I just stick with my holleys and a port job?The cam specs are .670 lift and duration @.50 is 262 intake and 272 exaust on 110 lobe sep .

The 227's would work pretty well on the 383. They would also give you a lot more room to grow. I would probably lean towards them and sell the Holley's.
