Let's hear everyones previous cheap street combination results. Its amazing what you can get out of them. Mike I want to hear more about your old nitrous 406 that you ran in the Malibu. I'm tempted to build a real sneaky nitrous sleeper, just to thrash on. ;D

Cheap Street combos huh. We are running a 396 in my buddy's Camaro right now. It's 10:1, hyd cam, stock rods, crank, TRW pistons, etc. Car weighs 3450 and has 3.70 gears. Runs 11.30's on the motor and 9.80's on a 200 shot. Got $1000 tied up in the motor. Same car used to have a 468 in it that I had $3500 in. Ran 8.70's with it ;D. I got more, but I'll post them later.

Cheap street huh? Hows about a 7.1 compression 355, stock crank, stock rods with ARP bolts, Forged blower pistons, box stock 76cc AFR 210 heads, Bowtie intake, solid cam and 650 carb...combination costs under 3 grand..ran 12.0 on motor, high 9's on the hit with a 250 shot, on a 9" tire!!! Wasn't a purpose built engine, just what was layin around and the customer wanted to go play..Surprised alot of people, including me...was expecting mid 10's...lol Cylinder pressure was only 120lbs!!! Boy did it love that spray...

60 foot with the 8 second motor was between 1.30 and 1.33.
The 396 is in the mid to low 1.40's on spray and probably about a 1.58 or so on the motor.
