What can I expect to gain in Hp going from a oval port 781 with some pocket porting to a 305 AFR rectangle port head that has CNC chambers an some pocket porting an flows 370cfm??
I would also like to know what to expect in ET an MPH gain. When I bought the heads they told me to expect to see around 4 to 5 MPH gain. That seems like a lot to me. The car ran 128 to 129 wit the oval ports. Thanks guys!! ;D ;D

You will see a heck of a gain. Lot's of factors though. Weight, cam, compression, etc. I would think a 4 to 5 mph gain would be a cake walk.

Thanks Mike, The compression will probably go up about 3/4 of a point because I had the block decked an went with a .060 over bore from .030. Went from 12.5 TRWs to a 13-1 Lunati piston. The heads are a true 118cc all so not the factory guess of 119cc for the oval ports. I will also loose around 60 to 70lbs off the front because of the heads being that much lighter. It ran 10.40s before with a best of 10.32. I would like to run consistant low 10s in the heat an maybe hit the 9s on a good day. Thanks again!!!

Are you going to change your cam to take advantage of the increased airflow of the new heads? Brian

Brian, The cam I had was to big for what I had so I am hoping it will work fine with this combo. Its a .685x.692 an 269x276 on a 110LS. I would like to have around the .714 to .720 range but it still should work fine with the heads I have according to AFR.

I'd say 5mph easy. How soon you gonna have it to the track, as I'd like to know how deep in the 9s youre gonna run... Keep us posted

I really don't think its going to go into the 9s more like low 10s. I would "Like" to hit the 9s just to say I did but not counting on it.
When I rebuilt the motor I had a chance to go with a 496 an it would have probably put me in the 9s but I didn't want to have to up date to all the heavier fire suit an other things that go with it. Thanks guys!!!!
