Does any body have any experience with these and can you tell me if or who makes a dominator flange intake for these on a standard deck. Thanks for any help

Any normal 18* intake will fit the heads. Try Edelbrock. I like the heads. I think the quality is good and you can make some serious power with them.

18* Dominator intakes.
Edelbrock makes a Victor Glidden for the 4500 and it looks like Brodix has a part #1813 for the Dominator.
Anyone familiar with either of these intakes?

Ok explain to me why people even mess with 18 degree and even some 15 degree stuff when some 23 degree heads flow even more than them? I know, like Weldtech, doesn't even have an 18 or 15 degree head that will flow what an all pro 23 degree will, so just wondering why people go through all the switching for the other angles? Maybe a dumb question, but just curious. Dave

I've been told CFM isn't everything.

Well I think that 800 horse out of a 358 is pretty good, so the flow must mean something. I know the whole velocity jazz, but still, the fastest 23 degree motors still run these heads.

18 degree heads allow you to have a much smaller chamber....cut down on the size of the dome...also bigger valves..

A good 18 will out flow and out power a good 23 anyday. The port is taller and more straight. The valve spacing is better and the entry into the chamber is more efficient. A 23 can make awesome power, but they don't run 23's in NASCAR or Comp eliminator for a reason.

Weld-Tech does have HEADS that flow better than the 23* stuff. Maybe you are refering to a different company, but I use their stuff and know it works. There's lots of hogged out heads that flow like sewer pipes, and thats about what they are good for. I'm not knocking others, but maxed 23* will never stand up to a maxed 18*. Just my experience.
