I have a friend who has been 5.55 @128 in the 1/8 in a 3300 lb car with a 414 ci motor. Bigest thing is that the push rod hole is in the intake runner and cuts down on flow a little but Mike can fix that for you. Gary

I've got an extensively ported set on a 4.145" bore x 4.125" stroke - 445 ci SBC.
The pushrod pinch is a restriction and the valvetrain geometry with standard rockers is less than ideal. I would bite the bullet and go with a true 18 deg. head (if not 15 deg. or less) with shaft rockers.
I wish I had.
The 18x also uses a 10 deg. intake face angle so manifold choice is limited as well. Only the Brodix 1800/1801 etc. will work and they need quite a bit of work to be good.

gotskunked,
The cam would work OK, but there will be power left on the table.
To take advantage of the 18 deg. heads you need more lift than the cam you listed. The biggest advantage of the 18 deg. heads is in the .500+" lift range.
You'll need the converter to flash in the 5200-5500 RPM range to work best at the track.

would this cam fit a 434 sbc 18* ? .696 int and 706 ext and 280int and 290ext @50. do you think it might need more lift to utilize the heads. I want a 15.1 motor only with this one and all for fun to basically see how fast i can get it to go . hope low mid to low 9s. i got the 18x there on the way. ill have cfm work them over and they should be fine for me .

.750" net lift would be a step in the right direction. Be sure to have the intake ported as well.

Jason single NX plate. It is listed in the best performances on this site. I would go with a custom grind cam. I have had great luck with cam motion. Just call and give them all your specs and what you are doing with the engine and they will set you up. Thanks Gary

gotskunked,
Going to 1.70 rockers is fine. You are probably going to have too much overlap with a 106 LSA with a 280/290 cam though.
