what are the limits of a good 23* sbc (roughly 212cc intake ports, ported by Mike) head in a large single turbo application, hp/torque?
Also, what would be the limits of a standard BBC head in the same large single turbo application. Brodix 345cc heads??

Are you talking horsepower limits? If so, then I feel the only limits are basically what boost you run. The turbo combinations do not need a big cylinder head as the smaller port heads tend to build more velocity which accelerates the engine faster, spooling the turbo up faster, especially with one big turbo. I wouldn't run too big of a cylinder head, and have seen tons of power made with hardly any cubic inch or port size. Not like a normally aspirated deal. Turbo's have lag, and in order to overcome it, you need the smaller ports, smaller strokes, fuel injection, etc...to get them to spool up faster. twin small turbos actually spool up faster than one big turbo. Turbo's rely on exhaust gas veolicty to spool them up so the faster you can spin the engine, the faster they spool, the more power you will make. You do not need to overkill the head and you are better off keeping them on the small side rather than going to big. I really don't see you being limited so to speak on any power with the runner heads. It is all in the tuneup and boost.

Got another customer making 1500+ with a real similar deal to yours Chuck. Put a 98mm on it and let it eat
