My question is that would the Oval port GM Performance Parts Signature series heads with 2.19 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves be a good starting point for a porting job and possible some valve work? Or would they be to small to really do much with them? These cylinder heads would be going on a 478 cubic inch (4.500 bore 3.760 stoke) BB Chevy, with around 13.9:1 compression. I would like to keep the chambers the same and not really do too much to them besides some polishing. My hopes are for this motor to be in the 750 to 800hp range with at least 725ft/lbs of torque. I am not what the cam specs will be it most likely will be a roller custom grind for the combo.
If you would like any more info just ask and i will give it.
Also this is just a idea of what i can do the motor for this car will not be ready for another couple of years so i can always make changes.
P.S. What would be the pricing on doing all the work tho maximize my combo??
Thanks in Advance Dylan

The heads respond to porting really well. Got a lot of 500" pump gas motors making 700 HP with them. I think you could hit 780 or so real easy. A full port job will run you $800. If the heads need freshened that will run you another $200. The intake probably needs about $150 worth of work or so.
