Hi Mike.....

I have a zz502 engine with the edelbrock 290cc heads.
I have installed a crower 612-636 hydro roller and am wondering if it's worth porting the heads, or saving up and buying a better head. I have heard you can get some impressive gains out of porting these, but you are the expert, What do you think? zz502 ina 72 nova.

Lot's of my customers are getting 50 to 75 HP gains from porting alone. Those heads get pretty decent for pump gas and mild race deals. Lot's of 3900 lbs car in the mid to high tens with your set-up.
