I'm throw around the idea of building a new engine. I found a set of sbc canted valve brodix heads (cv sp 265). Would it be possible to make 1000hp (on NOS)with this heads? I heard these heads have gasket issues, is this true? And are there any disadvantages to using these heads? If you were to build a sbc with these heads, what cid, camshaft and compession would you use?

Yes it will be possible to make over 1,000 hp with these heads. Hvae not heard of gasket issues with the castings. Cubes? Min. 436, Compression? 13.1 minimum, Camshaft? big...Disadvantages, I would say cost, not just for the heads, but for all the parts needed with it. If the budget is there, then defnitely go with it.
