Hi gays, i have a drag car with a 640hp 383 Chevy motor, last weekend i noted the oil meter, it show a 40psi idle and a 50psi down the track and stays like that all day ?? I am not sure but i think it was just to go higher. The motor is running great and the oil is good ( Full Synt. 5w-40 ) Any option.?

Just to let you know, the oil pressure problem was a broken main cap ridge, it was broken complete from the block........and i found out when the main stud come lose and went out through the pan.....no hurt to the rest of the engine, but the block is now in the dumpster. I was takin 900+hp from this combo and in the last run, one of the main was just hanging in there...new block on the way....... ;D
